In 1999 Liane Wakabayashi and her friend Andrew Boerger sat down in a Tokyo coffee shop to discuss collaboration on a series of drawing plus writing workshops. Liane, the writer was beginning to hold exhibitions. Andy, the illustrator was writing books. They were amazed by the new inspiration and free flow of creativity that came from crossing over into less familiar medium and started to hold Genesis creative breakthrough workshops in order to encourage other creative people to do the same. After an initial trial run of six Genesis workshops, Liane saw the potential for developing these workshops into a full-fledged system for creative-intuitive breakthroughs that come from drawing and writing. September 18: Circle of Light Meeting Get a sneak preview of the revamped Genesis cards! If you are a Genesis card owner, please come and share your experiences with the cards. We'll have time at the start and end of the session to talk about some of the extraordinary experiences that come out of using the Genesis cards. There will also be time for drawing from the cards, making art, and exploring the wisdom of your intuition.

The Genesis Cards can help you experience creative breakthroughs in art and writing. Sessions are held in a relaxing cafe setting or in Liane's living room overlooking a huge garden. Genesis card holders work at their own pace under the guidance of the deck's creator, Liane Wakabayashi, to create a visual journal made from original pastel pictures and accompanying text. Any level of artistic or writing ability is welcome. Newcomers will find they are supported and encouraged, while experienced artists are often surprised to learn this gentle, no-pressure approach to creativity through intuitive guidance.

The Genesis Workshop is an experience that merges drawing, writing, intuitive exploration, and most of all, friendship. Exploring creativity in a relaxed group setting can be a joyful breakthrough to making sharing creative time with friends and your own family. This workshop will show you how.

Liane Wakabayashi
Since 1987, Liane has written for The Japan Times, ANA Wingspan and other publications in Tokyo. She became interested in the tarot about 12 years ago and studied with a master tarot reader from Poona. Liane then began applying Angelcards and other gentle oracles in her writing class to generate extraordinary results, ranging from life-changing syncronicities to healing reunions with long lost relatives. She believes that true inspiration involves only the willingness to think outside the "box" of private memory and personal agenda. The Genesis cards were designed to help aspiring artists and writers reach new heights by bringing creative thinking into all aspects of life.
