practiced commercially in Japan and certain countries, led him to Native
American
Shamanism as part of his efforts to pursue the art of healing, both
physically and spiritually.

Know Yourself
It's been some time since the equivalent of English word "healing" entered
the Japanese language. Nonetheless, certain things never seem to change.
"Iyashi" or "healing" is used in Japan as nothing more than an atmosphere
enhancer. Here, the question of healing from what is obscured.
In this day and age, we live in a global system where there is a great
stress on similarity among individual humans and there is a negation
of their differences, be it gender difference or ethnicity.
Modern medicine, with the advent of computer science and progress in
genetics, seems to have deciphered all the secrets there are to humans.
At least thatユs what the adherents of modern medicine would like to believe.
Is the DNA the ultimate answer to all human suffering?
Take cancer for example. There are more deaths today than, say fifty
years ago to cancer. How can this be? Haven't modern medicine discovered
all cures and secrets of all cancers? Wasnユt it their battle cry for
some time to "exterminate" cancer? Haven't billions of tax dollars have
been pumped in all sorts of cancer research? Isn't the pharmaceutical
industry booming thanks to their adhesion to various governments and
government agencies in the so-called developed countries?
