What is Circle of Light?
The
Circle of Light (COL) was founded in 1988 and is a non-profit, non-religious
organization run by volunteers. COL is Tokyo's premier English-speaking
forum presenting local and international speakers on a diverse range
of topics relating to personal growth, spiritual inquiry, and healing.
The meetings are informal and informative as well as practical and
participants can watch, listen and ask questions during the interactive
presentations.

AYURVEDA
FINDING YOUR BALANCE

Inviting you to discover and learn the ancient healing tradition of
Ayurveda that examines constitution, emotional nature and spiritual
outlook in the context of the universe.
This workshop will focus on simplifying the principles of Ayurveda
so we can learn how to better balance ourselves.
We will look at how the universal life force manifests as three different
energies- called doshas: vata, pitta and kapha and different ways we
can balance ourselves, namely through food and the six tastes as well
as looking ahead to Spring- the season of change and how best to work
with this change.

Iva
Drtina-Hall’s interest in health began when she studied
Physiology at McGill University in Montreal. Since then Iva has travelled
extensively throughout Asia, North America, Europe and Australia. These
travels brought her to Japan, where she’s lived for 9 years teaching
cross-cultural awareness and running a health cafe in Omotesando. Her
experiences led to many new healing modalities such as fasting and
Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. She is a certified Yoga instructor
and she runs retreats, teacher trainings and workshops around the world.
Who can attend?
Meetings are open to everyone.
Meetings are open to everyone and there is no need to book in advance;
please just come on the day. Entrance fee is ¥1000 per meeting.
When and where are meetings held?
Meetings are held every third Sunday of the month (except for August)
at MUSEUM in Ogikubo, which is part of the International Yoga Center.
Place: Museum Tokyo, Ogikubo.
The Museum is accessible by Marunouchi and Tozai subway lines and
Chuo/Sobu JR lines.
Take the Ogikubo Station south exit. From the platform descend the
stairs. Cross the street and walk down the narrow shopping lane. Turn
left at the first street, opposite Royal Host. Museum is in the same
building as Nataraj Indian Vegetarian Restaurant.

How can I become a speaker?
Circle of Light is always looking for speakers who wish to present
on topics related to personal growth, spiritual inquiry and healing.
While speakers are not reimbursed, this is a good way to spread the
word about your interests and/or practice.
