REIKI
Reiki is a safe and gentle “hands-on” treatment of healing. Reiki amplifies the universal energy which naturally flows through us all. When Reiki is directed through oneself or another, the body and mind become balanced. Reiki puts us into a deep state of relaxation. During this relaxation our own natural healing abilities are awakened. Reiki reduces stress, and encourages clarity and vitality. The practitioner does not diagnose, but simply provides the life-force energy.

The universe is a fabric of continually changing patterns of energy, and although we rarely stop to think about it, human beings are a part of this fabric. Through Reiki, one gains an awareness of oneself within the harmony and wholeness of the universe.

Reiki is also known as the Usui System of Natural Healing. It is believed to have originated in Tibet, and had been rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the late 1800’s. Reiki is not a religion, and practitioners are not required to join any organization.

LEARN REIKI
In Reiki Level I, in addition to the Reiki attunements to connect you to the energy, you can learn everything you need to know for a Reiki self-treatment or a treatment for another.

In Reiki Level II, you’ll learn the sacred symbols, how to send distance and situational healing, as well as healing unwanted habits.

In the Reiki with Gemstones course, learn how to use Gemstones and Reiki for healing and balance. The pre-requisite for this course is Reiki Level II.

Courses are 12 hours. Private, semi-private or up to 4 people. Each lesson is 3 hrs and includes a full Reiki treatment for the student. Ideally the lessons are for 4 consecutive weeks, but we can always arrange a schedule to fit your needs, if it is a private or semi-private course.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the twelve hours. And a commemorative photo.

Reiki with Gemstones (pre-requisite Reiki Level II). You will be able to purchase your personal gemstones set directly from the Integrated Healing Arts Centre, during the course as you will be taught the various ways of how to choose the gemstones for your needs.

REIKI HEALING LEVEL II (additional courses SOON TO BE ANNOUNCED)

The pre-requisite for this class is Reiki Level I. In this course you will learn the Reiki Sacred Symbols, and how to use them. Learn how to send distance healing, situational healing, as well as healing unwanted habits. A Certificate will be presented at the completion of the 12 hr course.

If you have had Reiki level I with another teacher, but want to take my Reiki Level II course, you must contact me and come to the Integrated Healing Arts Centre one time before the onset of the class, and YOUR REIKI LEVEL I CERTIFICATE (or copy of) MUST BE PRESENTED at that time. The reason for this is that my Reiki Level II course is based to follow my Reiki Level I course. Reiki Masters teach in different ways, this is FINE, but in order to take my course and have it flow nicely with the other students I'd like to see you first and review what you've been taught and perhaps catch you up to the others. There is a fee for this and it is the usual treatment fee of ¥8000 yen MINUS Discount of ¥1500 yen for new students (that means 6500 yen). The full course fee would also be paid at this time to reserve your place in class. ¥50,000.

REIKI WITH GEMSTONES
Gemstones were formed deep within the earth under tremendous pressure and for an inconceivable amount of time. Gemstones have grown in total stillness like bright blossoms in the darkness.

Reiki and the brightly shining color vibrations of the Gemstones that have been activated are intensified as they flow together into the energy center beneath the stone that lies under the hands radiating Reiki.

ZEN SHIATSU
The method of pressure on acupoints (tsubo) came to Japan about 1000 years ago from China where Chinese doctors practiced acupuncture to cure and prevent many illnesses.

Shiatsu is a form of manipulative therapy administered by the thumbs, fingers, palms, elbows, and knees. Pressure applied on certain points of the skin stimulates the body’s natural recuperative powers. By releasing fatigue-causing accumulations that have put abnormal pressure on the nerves, blood and lymph vessels, Shiatsu diffuses these toxins restoring flexibility to the muscle tissues and relieves pain-producing symptoms. Shiatsu opens the meridian lines so that the body’s natural magnetic energy can flow freely creating a balanced state within the energy system. Regular periodic Shiatsu therapy has the effect of creating a self-defense mechanism that increases the body’s powers of resistance and thus lowers the likelihood of sickness.

QIGONG
Qigong is defined as, 'Qi' meaning internal energy and 'gong' meaning any longtime practice/work/skill. QiGong practices taught here are BaDuanJin or (The 8 Pieces of Brocade) and the Yang 24 Form TaiJiQuan.

Qigong, literally energy-work is the method by which one can utilize the natural powers of the energy of the universe and integrate it with the natural powers that reside in us. By then linking body and mind through the method of exercising the inner energy body, the mind gains control over the body and emotion and balance is created within. Where there is balance in the human energy system, there is health. In result, Health, Longevity and Inner Peace are acheived.

BA DUAN JIN
In practice, there are many forms of QiGong internal martial art movement meditation. Ba Duan Jin is one. “Ba Duan Jin” translates as ‘The Eight Pieces of Brocade”. The Chinese likened good health and long life to the gorgeous brilliance of brocade. Each of these eight exercises is profound in meaning and result. The effect achieved by the Ba Duan Jin is that the ‘meridian system’ our internal energy lines, are opened, the blockages within are released and we can feel the flow of inner energy through the system. The Ba Duan Jin form is easy to remember and perform. Daily practice of it keeps the body, mind and spirit in a good flow.

The DVD is a 90 minute Qigong class, consisting of warm ups, Standing Meditation, the Eight Pieces of Brocade demonstration flow, the break down and teaching of each piece, front view as well as back view, and closing. Filmed on the lovely very spiritual grounds of Meiji Shrine. In color, with explantion, and with music.

The DVD is now available for workshop participants at 4000 yen each.

TAIJIQUAN
TAICHICHUAN
T’AI CHI CH’UAN
These are all the same thing, although the spelling differs because of the system used to translate the Chinese characters. So what does it mean?
Taijiquan is an ancient Chinese ‘internal’ martial art. Tai Chi as is commonly called in the West, is done in slow motion, it is meditation in motion. Tai Ji is said to keep one’s health good by creating a balance between the body, mind and spirit. Although it is a martial art, it is taught here for its health benefits. Tai Ji not only exercises the muscles but because of the breathing technique, with the rise and fall of the diaphragm, the inner organs are massaged. No stagnancy remains. The movements are gentle, quiet, and flow in a circular pattern. It can be done by both young and old. It is described as ‘Zen in Motion’.

QIGONG AND TAIJIQUAN (Tai Chi Chuan) INTERNAL MARTIAL ARTS
This class takes place every Saturday from 10-12 PM in Yoyogi Park. Enter at the Harajuku entrance of the park. Lesson area is to the left of the pond in the 'trees' area.

Each lesson is ¥2000. Please bring the correct amount of money as I cannot make change for you on the spot. I will have envelopes for you to place the fee into.
